At What Time Do You Begin To Protect Yourself?

At what time do you begin to protect yourself from the many dangers of society? Who is going to protect you, if you do not? Do you think the government truly wants to do what is in your best interests?

As a writer on Hubpages, which you can find all sorts of articles I've written, I'm attempting to wake people up to the fact that they(on an individual level) must learn about the dangers coming after them, even if they cannot see them, because it's beginning to be all too important and detrimental to the health of society as a whole.

It has become too important for each person to increase their clarity and awareness about the actions of the people who can influence or have an affect/effect on your life.

As an American citizen, it is your duty to protect yourself and others. Yes, you read that correctly. It part of your duties to protect not only yourself but other people. You do not have to protect these people against themselves, but against other people who would do them harm or try to influence them into stripping other people's rights and freedoms.

As an American citizen, it should be something you want to do for your fellow citizen and should not be looked upon as a burden. In all seriousness, you should love yourself and your fellow citizen, so you and them can live in harmony along side one another. It is one of the greatest opportunities you to learn about yourself and others that should be something that you want to embrace. If you do not know something about living in America, then you should get informed. If you do not want to get informed about protecting yourself, then what are you saying to other people about your inability to do what is right?

Do yourself the biggest favor and give yourself the best advantage to live the life you really want to live- keep learning, never stop seeking the truth to things. Again, it is all too important, not only to your life and it's value, but to others and the value that which you place on their life as well. Being Prepared is Key to Survival

Disasters have this nasty habit of popping up when you least expect them. This being the case, it pays to be always prepared. There is no convenient time for a disaster so you must keep a few things readily accessible. First, keep emergency survival kits in your home and in every vehicle you own. A first aid kit, some food and water, a change of clothes, toiletries and hygiene items should cover the basics. reading some guides for your activities can help.

Take note of the number of persons in your household and scale accordingly. It is better to have an excess supply of food and water than being forced to live on a few drops and crumbs. Don’t overlook the needs of your beloved pets too.

Survival gear becomes more important when you are out in the wilderness. There are simply too many things that could go wrong out there. A simple scrape or sprain is a mere inconvenience in civilization but outdoors, it could quickly escalate into something life threatening. You have to be equipped to handle most incidents. In addition to survival kits, a dependable survival knife is a must-have.

You will never run out of food and you will always have shelter when you have your trusty survival knife with you. That last statement can be a little misleading though. Yes you can provide for yourself with just a knife but you have to know how to use it. Survival training is sometimes even more important than survival gear. You can let a hardcore survivalist loose in the middle of nowhere and he will be fine with just a survival knife and his wits but a clueless hipster would shrivel up and die even with a backpack full of food and survival gear.

Your survival gear doesn’t need to be single duty. With a little planning, your camping items can be utilized. Your camping cooking equipment, camping sleeping bag, camping bed, camping shower, and any other camping set you own can be stored in tubs with lids or duffel bags near the front of your garage, readily accessible. If you include your canvas tent in your survival kits planning you will be ready to rough it.

If you own a camper caravan or toyhauler you can think about stowing the minimum survival gear in the trailer, and have it ready to hook up and tow on short notice. Any planning you do in advance will pay off in the future. Remember that if you are able to depend on yourself by having survival training and survival kits, you will be able to reduce the burden of emergency agencies such as the Red Cross.

So, always be prepared. Whether you’re camping or just going about your day to day life, survival should be your primary concern. Be aware of the things that could go wrong around you and have your survival gear ready and your survival skills sharp.

Self Respect - Respect For Others Relates To Character Education Character Education

Character Education - Self Respect and Respect is about Respect for others, self respect and to convey a meaning, and understand of what respect really is for. Many people have no clue about Character Education, so a series of hubs has been written with regards to bestowing others with the knowledge. As a part of that series- Self Respect and Respect for Other is just as important, as Respect for Elderly people.

I am positive you would want respect given to you, just as others want respect given to them. Not everyone is given respect, except for the elderly. Those who are older than you, respect should be given because they have managed to live longer than you, probably lived through many different experiences and have knowledge to share. However, should you have no respect for them, then you will not gain the knowledge or experience they want to willingly share.
